So I realize I haven't posted in about a month and I have a good reason...
Yep, that picture does indeed indicate the existence of a new little
Marx baby. This Marx baby is due to arrive Oct. 9th (which just happens
to be my mom's birthday), but if this delivery follows suit and goes
like the others it will get here a little sooner, maybe even in
September.
I had been using this blog to document my goals for the year, the biggest being to be more active I haven't really had much to say. To answer some questions...yes I have been sick. Like really.
A lot sicker than any other pregnancy before. I never threw up, I just
always felt like I could. Nothing sounded good to eat except apples,
carrots, potatoes (in any form), jelly beans, and bread. This short list
of food that sounded good resulted in losing 5 lbs between weeks 8 and
12. Nothing to worry about though as this is common in women that
suffer from the all day and all night sickness (yeah I renamed it).
The pregnancy hormones must be strong with this one since I was crazy
sick and I knew I was pregnant a week before anything was late... if you
have questions about that feel free to ask. I also have had just about
every pregnancy symptom already with this little one. Including
heartburn, back pain (so bad I could barely walk), fatigue, food
aversions & cravings, moody, hard time sleeping, and the list goes
on. Thankfully no cankles...yet. I have had zero energy and my house is
proof of that. Thankfully Sterling has filled in where needed! I'm not
complaining though. All the hormone induced delights have served as a
reassurance that things are going well. Thankfully I am feeling a lot better now. I don't know if every expectant
mother is the same, but I worry pretty much constantly that something
will go wrong. Thankfully everything looks good so far. The baby is
growing fast and is a few days ahead size wise compared to the weeks I
am-if that made any sense.
I had decided this year to keep a calendar with a daily thing that I loved about myself. Well that goal has suffered. Whilst sick and suffering from no energy I couldn't really think of anything to put on my calendar. The month of February is pretty much a blur of yucky sickness and longing for a nap. I had good intentions and thought that pregnancy would give me tons of extra things to love about my body. And while that is true, it was just extra hard to see through the negatives and find something each day to celebrate. So my hope is now that I am starting to feel better I will get back at it.
If the wee babe cooperates we will be able to find out the gender at my next appointment just after Easter.

I am soo sorry you are so sick!! I hope it gets better and ends soon!!! Congrats on the new little one :) I am excited to see if you are adding a little boy or girl to your family! I hope we can see each other for a few when we come down to St. George this summer! Get lots of rest!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! That is great news, not that you are so sick....you get what I am saying.
ReplyDeleteOh my! I had a whole comment posted and then it made me sign in and deleted it! Ugh! Here's pretty much what it said: I can sympathize with your all day sickness! I have it with my pregnancies the whole 9 months. With Jaxon I lost so much weight I think my last appt before I had him I was 3 lbs heavier than my pre pregnancy weight. Yeah. I had had heartburn too. And my dr told me a lot of times the heartburn makes the nausea worse. So if you can minimize the heartburn the nausea isn't as bad. Omeprazole (sp?) And the berry flavored tums were a big help. I still had heartburn just not as bad. Good luck! Final so excited for you guys!
