I know there isn't one "normal" way of eating for everyone. I am trying to figure out what is normal for me. I have decided dieting isn't normal. Intuitive eating is the key. That is hard for me though. I used to just graze. When meal time came I wasn't hungry because I had been eating all day, but I still ate anyway. I didn't give myself a chance to feel hungry. The first time I fasted after I was done nursing Scotty was an eye opening experience. It had been so long since I had felt that hunger. It was good to feel what being hungry felt like. It also helped me to see that I could control my eating.
I think commitment is what motivates me. When I commit to doing something I stay on task. Goals don't seem to motivate me at all because I don't really care if I don't reach them. I am hoping that will change.
So oh yeah, normal eating. I am trying to figure out what is normal for me. Luckily I have a little something called the Word of Wisdom to help me navigate it all. So my next commitment is to eat only when I am hungry and to not eat when standing up or *alone (unless I am hungry and there is no other option). I am going to keep enjoying my smoothie of the day and do my best to eat high protein foods.
*I tend to binge when I am alone...it makes me sick, but I do it anyway.
